These people didn't save any money during this past year in order to pay rent . My father taught me that no matter what you pay your rent first to keep a place to live . Even if you have to go with out a phone or cable, even if you have to live off of very little food, you pay your rent first no matter what

I told one of my tenants "no one can live for free in America". She replied "no one can live for free anywhere". Well, somehow some people in congress think that we should keep extending this eviction moratorium to keep tenants in my house for free. Isn't 2 years enough? You have done enough damage. Everyone was affected by covid19.
Heck, one of my tenants drives a BMW while I drive a Honda.

Glad it’s OVER… My rent already paid. Next payment is September 1st. Throw the bums out.. The lazy people need to be in the streets after not paying for 15 months due to eviction moratorium !

3.2 million more criminals created, now that they’re homeless, all bets are off when they become desperate. Sucks normal people will have to pay for this.

All those politicians that passed that laws should be fired right away every one should be responsible. Great video Tony.

Maybe all those people who were skipping rent can sleep in the fancy new cars they bought with their stimulus money.

Nope, but Tony, you'll be doing stories on the effects of the moratorium AFTER IT ENDED. It's not over. This fall and winter is going to be a mess. 😒

We know what will happen. Renters lived rent free under the covid moratorium and will hound the courts to continue living rent free. This will be prevalent across the US. It could take years to evict a tenant in the courts. is another pandemic and a new moratorium is declared using the delta variant as an excuse. Get the pattern?

And it's not as easy as to "move to somewhere else where it's less expensive". The less expensive places are just as expensive too. With such high demand and low housing numbers. It's the sellers and NOW landlords markets.

Do they recall the large housing projects that were so crime ridden that the police didn't even want to go there? These cities within a city were government owned and operated.

People who became unemployed due to lockdown were getting an unemployment, why didn't they pay rent what are they spending money on? Plus most of them were getting $200 per person in food stamps? I don't know about all areas but in my area we had a lot of rent assistances from the city as they got huge funds, but of course you had to be qualified and prove that you lost a job/income due to lockdown and not just because you never worked in your life and someone will pay your rent, when you have a car payments you know if you don't pay the car is going to be repossessed , what the people were spending their unemployment money on?

Hey! That “park” objecting to building causing shade is the world famous Brooklyn Botanical Garden. Not just a park.
