Is John Mark Comer a Dependable Bible Teacher?

-Watch as John Mark Comer calls for creating a category for "conservative heretics" while at the same time his church's statement of faith says that when it comes to LGBT they have "open arms" and would never exclude anyone based on what they believe. That pretty much says it all!

JMC was also recently platformed at Jennie Allen's "Gather 25" event that sought to unite Evangelicals with Pentecostals & Roman Catholics. Comer is also egalitarian believing in female pastors in defiance of 1 Timothy 2:12-3:8. Comer is also into social justice.

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING! Salvation is available for anyone who would put their trust in Jesus! The true gospel is Christ crucified and risen for the remission of sin. The Scripture says in Romans 10:9 if you would confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead you will be saved. My church—a supposed reformed church—held a class on Comer’s “Practicing the Sabbath”. My wife signed us up, so I didn’t even know what it was, but something felt… off about it the entire time. That’s what made me look into him. His false teachings seem very subtle. Sadly, my church is mostly college students who have no idea. I’m concerned about it and will bring it up to our pastor. Thank you for making this video. It’s important.

In South Africa, the head of AOG (with PhD by the way) did JM Comer’s course in his church Practicing the Way. When our local Pastor wanted to do it in our church, I did a full in-depth analysis on the course and my husband and I said we would never do this in our Life Group we were leading. Have been in that church for 24years, my husband was an elder... Do you know what happened? They politely "kicked us out".... Yep.... And def still maintain that Comer is bad news. He misquotes and dilutes the Bible, describes Jesus as a 1st century Rabbi throughout the course, quotes mystic Monks, contemplative prayer, confessing sins to others... Unbelievable that millennials are falling for this... We are heartbroken

JMC also denies the impassibility and immutability of God. He says God changes His mind, doesn't know what will happen in many respects, learns form us, changes his mind based on relationship with us...He says that God created many lesser gods at creation and that these gods have actual power and are distinct from the demonic world. He has many strange heterodox/heretical teachings such as what I have listed above. My current pastor and Session believe that can all be dealt with no problem and we can just eat around the bones so-to-speak. Heavy focus on Spiritual Formation now in my church of 15 years where we have raised our children and served and loved one another. I am afraid we must leave now as some have already done. I have tried to reason with the session and pastor. They appear unmoved and protective of the beloved pastor who has brought this stuff in as if he could never be wrong or deceived. It is awful!

I find it strange that anyone who claims to be a born again Christian actually listen to these men? The Lord told us we would be given His Holy Spirit to guide us into ll truth! Why would you beleive these people?

I am always Amazed when I read different churches statements of faith. It disgusts me though how much these so-called pastors are trying to change the gospel to me it really is very cut and dried black and white and I absolutely believe God's word. Someone told me I have childlike faith and I took that as an insult when I was a new Christian but they explained to me that's a good thing. 😅

When we who are followers of Christ fight each other and critisise people in this world end up in hell because we use all our powers on go against each other than preaching to lonely hearts.
I have read four of Comers books, in Norwegian, and he makes me love Christ, read even more in the Bible and for me Comer is a conservative: He calls homosexuality a sin, he calls the egoism and self-righteousness a sin.
