In your description, if you reverse the times and the description, YouTube will actually parse it, and show the timestamps inside the video bar at the bottom, for increased viewer experience

Thanks for the guide. I was finally able to beat the game without getting anxiety about the placements of my buildings and belts. I finished in 11 hours.

its kind of crazy how fast this guy is even while making a guide... i followed step by step on exact same seed and settings and finished in 6 hours, while pausing to watch the video. damn.

Awesome! Just smashed this first time for the there is no spoon achievement, so helpful!
There were other guides but they all wanted you to download a specific seed and copy blueprints, which takes the fun out of it imo. I liked this because I made a new map, so I could follow along (for factory size, ratios, and other thing that is too hard for a casual player), so I had to be creative with my factory design and this guide was just that - a guide, which I could follow when it suited me, and deviate when I need to.
I also got another 5 achievements at the same time - icing ontop of the cake!

Well..! I did "There is no spoon" literally yesterday for the Steam achievement (since I was playing offline before). Took me 4h15 but I was following Anti's spaghetti base. I wish I had that guide yesterday, that's way more clearer with the google doc. Thank for that, I might try to get sub 3 hours with it :D

Bought the game last week, spend 6/7 hours in tutorial and free-play mode. Didn't know what I was doing, wanted to build a rocket so I grabbed the guide and video and started. Got a time of 11:15:37. Just watching the video and having the guide next to me saved me countless hours of figuring things out. So the achievement 'no time for chitchat' is totally doable as a total noob.

Now I know the basics and can try again :).

Okay so, im new to factorio. Im a degree holding engineer. Ive been in the trade foe 25 plus years and this.... This is pure mastery of your knowledge and understanding of industrial processes and engineering. If your ratio is 1-1 (usually) then i truly applaud you for the number crunching and dedication. Truly fascinating to watch, considering im about 20 hours out of the tutorial and just unlocked locomotive transportation, this seems just impossible to me at my current skill level.

Thank you for this very nice tutorial. After a few attempts, I managed 3:42, but there were major mistakes, so I'll try to improve it. One thing is for sure: I had a great respect for the speedrunning community, now I have admiration. I obviously knew that the planning was essential, but now I begin to realise how important the actual execution is, and how difficult it is to master it.

Thanks for making the slides with all the steps, screenshots and crafting lists. This is amazing. Great guide overall. And a nice run. Really leisurely pace, placement is very flexible and the various builds are simplified compared to the WR builds which makes it way easier to comprehend. With Factorio 1.0 just released, it would be excellent.
