Long style clutch “Slipper” clutch

Ever wonder how a “slipper” clutch works? Here’s a simple how it works. This is my first video like this😂 Be nice.

Think about helicopter blades. At rest they bow down. Start moving them at a low rpm and they will start to straighten out. The faster they spin they start to move past a horizontal plane. That's exactly how the 3 levers work. Add weight and rpm they synch harder. Base psi and centrifugal weight of the lever at a given rpm you can calculate the overall psi of the unit. A slipper clutch is just like having a torque converter that to can fine tune slippage through driveshaft and input shaft data.

Van motors gotta have the good clutches lol. Would you still use a clutch like that if you didnt race your car? I already picked up a twin disc for my 410" Windsor but dont plan to race much.

Thanks for the clear explanation! Do you adjust the base pressure higher before street driving? I feel like you'd need to or you'd just slip at low RPMs all the time and prematurely wear out the components.

I’m in the market for a clutch and think after watching this that I shouldn’t get another one pro motion. Looks like their 500hp version you have there. I have it as well it didn’t like 600wheel.
what for flywheel do you or would you recommend running?
