EDD begins verification process for suspended accounts | Dollars and Sense

California's Employment Development Department has started to reach out to 1.4 million claims suspended before New Years' with information to verify their claims.

So not only did they not message me regarding verifying my identity on the 6th like they said, but now your telling me that once I do verify it will take 30 days to process? This is just ridiculous!!! Guess I'll just have to go rob a bank in the mean time.

Please everyone apply for cal fresh ( emergency need ) so u can receive within 3 days. Also if ur in between apply for general relief also. GR is $355 it’s not much but it’s something. The cal fresh is giving $204 for single adult plus apx 200 stimulus.

just verified my account with a link they sent over a week late. took about 5 days to reach an ID.me representative. best way to do it is to wake up at 4:20am and try to get into a video call around 4:30am. thats when the ID.me reps start work.

Yes were is the prosses and they say don't worry they say give it time then I hear people are replying and getting there money

My husband is on extension and has his account suspended and we’ve been waiting for any other messages as far as verifying his identity but nothing, he logged in to his account a while ago and now he has a notification telling him to reopen his claim 🤷🏻‍♀️ what’s going on, anyone getting the same message?

I was sent a phone app. Notice.
But they did not call my number they called my daughter who filled out my papers for me. They called her number.
We was trying to 8ntercwidw by 3 way but they called 1 hours after expected call time. My daughter was at work and loading her client in the ambulance so we missed the call.
I was discontinued and sent an appeal form.
But I don't understand all 4hw laws. And I could not get through by phone.
I reapplied over a month later. My friend helped . Walked through the process on her computer.
5he ID process and at the end was told my phone.number could not be verified as mine and I needed to call and apply over the phone.
Well we know how long the wait is and I've been cut off after hours of waiting.
They stopped my checks without warning and my bills are all piling up also. not

I am sure not all the fraud is EDD's fault, but a good portion is. They are just now checking information they should have asked for in the beginning. Their communication and resolve is disappointing. No real effective way to get ahold of, the same situation for at least 8 months. It is true that we should hold the Governor responsible. He is the only one who can fix this mess!

My UI notifications is telling me to reopen the claim what should I do? Should I wait I was currently on Peuc and the message was

For those of you haven’t seen any messages from edd and have suspended accounts, call Edd. They’ll send the link for you to verify your identity on your edd acct. The best way to do this, is upload a pictures of your documents in pdf format.

I think itsflat out a shame that we have to stand by the phone and wait 5 hors at a time and then not get a call or text back..this is no fault of our persons the people who work in these offices think they are gods they are rude and very non com passunent they most of the m don't care if you wait and wait we don't get paid to wait they do

I was advised to wait not to reopen my claim as it might cause even longer delay. I am waiting for advise from my EDD help from my Union they have been good
