Health crisis unfolds in Gaza

Gaza's civilians face a growing risk of infectious diseases as sewage flows between tents, and sanitation infrastructure crumbles due to Israel's besiegement of basic necessities such as food, water and medical resources.

Recently, poliovirus has been detected in samples of sewage water in the densely populated strip, placing a large amount of Palestinians at risk of contracting the highly infectious disease that can cause paralysis.
