I am glad to be able to find it somewhere since they all have a nasty habit of doing it a little differently. Just think how good it would be if all of those commands were standardized!!

my page is not working, when i click the sum for the cell at the bottom of a column i get this:
=sum() that is it, i can't get it to add the column, it is making me crazy. I about of time i do that (at home) is not worth paying MS a monthly fee. I just want to add a column

Other videos have crapy sound or go so fast no one could follow.
But none of them work for me?
With each attempt, I reload the original.

This is a great tutorial, but it seems that I can only do a calculation only once. It will calculate the numbers together then if I want to add that answer to the original numbers it will just repeat that last number, Any ideas? Thanks.

Michael, I received a spreadsheet from a third party, and I can't execute the "sum" function in LibreOffice Calc. The result is zero, or it gives an error.
How do I solve this?

What constantly gives me aggravation with Calc is that I'll download some of my financial info from an institution or broker and I go to sum a column of numbers in that spreadsheet and the answer will always be zero. The reason is that the numbers are formatted with dollar signs and commas and Calc does not consider them to be numbers. And then I have to research how to convert these "numbers" to real numbers. I never have this problem with Google Sheets or Excel. This happens constantly but not often enough for me to remember how to deal with it.
