They like to make fun of AOC because she used to be a bartender when she was a student. Have you ever waited on tables or tended bar? Have you earned a university degree? Have you done both at the same time? It's HARD work. I don't have kids, but if I did I'd want them to work in a restaurant or a service job at some point to see just how awful people can be, and how hard some people have to work to make ends meet. Trump and his crew are mostly all silver-spoon softies who've had everything handed to them, so HOW does anyone who's not a billionaire think that Trump, Musk, etc. are on THEIR side? Trump says what he thinks you want to hear, but he's lying to you. WAKE UP!

Being from the UK, and having lived in Canada, I never understood why Bernie & AOC's policies are seen as 'radical', or even 'socialist' - for example, all countries with similiar levels of development and wealth to the US have universal healthcare (including legal abortion, available on demand from that healthcare system), paid maternity/paternity leave etc. They have different ways of doing it, but no-one loses their house or goes bankrupt to pay for their health care there, or in the EU. And the data shows quite clearly that we all get better health outcomes (e.g. lower maternal and neonatal death rates) at significantly lower cost. Americans have been lied to about 'socialised medicine' for decades - why do they believe it?

Hi Brian, I did what I could to financially support you. I'd have done more if I were able to do so. I love the fact that you do great journalism and simply speak out the truths that Trumpians do not want us to hear. I briefly attended Keene State College in Keene, NH. It was '02. I can't remember ever having Democratic friends or Republican friends. They were all simply "my American friends". Oh BTW, I'm from Italy. What AOC says is *really* common sense. I like her because she really speaks the truth, clearly and simply. I can't even imagine how many threats she receives on a daily basis. Kudos to her. And to you for being such a great journalist.
