A lesson to all retailers and companies: treat everyone like it's Gamers Nexus because you never know if it's them or when it's gonna be them.

ASUS funding Paul's Computex trip after he disparages them for five minutes straight is hilarious, lol.

UK Asus customer here. I had stick drift on my ally, i returned it. Cost free and got it back with the drift fixed. However, i encountered a load of other problems that were not present before. I took it back to the retailer i purchased it from and got an exchange. Now i have stick drift again. I havent even checked the memory slot.

4:42 Steve's cheeky grin pasted right on top of the reaper's head sent me into orbit.

I used ASRock for my latest build and haven’t regretted it for one second. Better boards for a better price and the support is fantastic

Asus's "apology" is exactly like when an a-hole says, "I'm sorry... your precious little feels got hurt." I've hated their terrible motherboards for years, maybe now people will listen when I say Asus is garbage.

From now on I'm making my own motherboards!

It pisses me off that companies that expect you to pay premium price for their products, don't give you the premium customer service that one can expect with paying a premium, on top of that their hardware isn't even that good.

People really are sleeping on ASRock, as they have one feature no one else seems to have: bios level control of RGB, so you don't need any bloatware!

The Grim Reaper door meme of GN was too brilliant.

Its been quite entertaining to see ASUS hitting the panic button AGAIN, a year after the first fiasco from GN. These companies pretty much never learn. They need to be fined 700m+ and or at minimum 50% of their total gross profit.

I RMA'd my ROG Ally 2 days after I got it because the right trigger button was not registering inputs. Even worse for me, I'd bought the unit open-box. But to my surprise, they replaced the motherboard free of charge and updated the BIOS. It's been working fine for 4 months now. I suspect my problem-free experience was a result of RMAs being handled by a 3rd party repair shop in my country and not by Asus themselves.

Your tech news are always on point. I watch many other tech tubers as well, but yours feels more down to earth and simple to understand for many (AI stuff, and many more). You just clean up all the info gathered from others and simplify it, the way it is fully understandable for the masses on the first take! Thanks Paul!

It's worth pointing out that the RMA process is different in different parts of the world. Here in the UK they definitely could not get away with stuff like this. So yes the companies are doing the bare minimum in their local area, but there should be better consumer protection rights (or maybe better enforced?) in the US & Canada

Came here to say that in the thumbnail, in the place of Steve, all I see is a longer haired Douglas Reynholm and now I can't unsee it.

You forgot Linus in the list of folks who felt GN's wrath

I haven't had much luck with Asus products, the fan failed on a 2060 and they replaced the card without any issues however it was not the same card I had sent them. The replacement ran way too hot for mining but casual gaming it was fine. I've also had two motherboards that were buggy, one had a power issue and wouldn't restart, you had to pysically remove the power cord and let the power drain out and then plug it back in and that was even with different PSUs.
