An Aviary For The Animals!

We built an Aviary for the birds! And it's big enough for many of the other animals to enjoy it too! Having an outdoor space that's safe for the animals to be in without constant supervision has brought such a wonderful amount of joy and wellness to many of the animals and we can't wait to see how it continues to give over the years.

Yay! This adjacently reminds me of design concepts of universal and accessible design. Designing to meet specific access needs, addressing barriers to safe outdoor participation (for the birds) and ends up maximizing usability for many more participants. :)
I love when things end up being very multipurpose/multifuctional!

About the time I start hoping everything is ok at AWM, you come out with a video update that reminds me that making videos is just one of the many things on your "to-do" list. The aviary gods blessed you, As a young adult I live in my childhood apartment with my mother, can’t afford or get my mother into the idea of having an aviary in our space, but I do stroll my Bird’s regular caging to our sunshine balcony, where he gets to experience the outside-inside, sunshine and breeze and his natural diet breakfast (where he’s happily content and often enjoy his “me time”), can’t recommend looking into how to outdoor-aviary enough.

Looks awesome! My dad used to have a 40ft long by 8ft wide aviary where he kept, Goldfinchs, Siskins, Bullfinches and numerous other birds. It was great seeing them fly from one end to the other. He fed them seed and live mealworms (chopped up sometimes) and were some of their favourite food.
I used to like mixing up hard boiled egg yolk and the white with seed which the birds seem to like a lot and watching the babies grow was always nice.
