Thanks, Kam.... from an older man 670elo playing for just a few months. You actually make understanding the Scandinavian much quicker, more succinct and more intelligible than many of the others... I do watch Igor Smirnoff and Eric Rosen and they're both good ...as is Lopez on Chess Vibes..and Ramirez, but somehow I - and above all my ancient human-being memory - connect much better with you . . plus my retention rate the following day is better.😊😊 Keep up the good work..!!

I actually decided to start learning this opening seriously earlier this week, so the timing is incredible, thanks. I was wondering about some of the offbeat lines that I’ll be seeing, so thanks for including those and not just focusing on the decision of where to put the queen and the lines stemming from that point.

This is one of those openings I have never really understood, but for some reason I found it easier to play than other openings, less surprises to avoid, apart from 1.d4 players spoiling it that is. I played it mainly in rapid play tournaments because no one else was playing it, and occasionally in long play. Won many tournaments with it.

Thanks, I'm going to try this opening. You should consider making a more in-depth video or perhaps doing a Scandi speedrun.

The escape route has me worried at 4:23. Couldn't the knight push the queen around and potentially fork king rook?

It looks fun! I should try that in my next game.

Great vid! Ive been looking for something other than e5 to play against kings pawn. White has so many options after e5. Whats your usual response to e4?

Could you please do a video on the Italian game?

Thanks, but as you mentioned Bf5 is really better than Bg4. I think you should have examined that line.

As a player in the 600s, I can tell you that my white opponents almost never take d5 or advance. Their second move will be Nc3 as you discuss at 1:54.
