My bad, I see its listed a 76 but u mentioned it was purchased in 78, fun little sleds, I notice the skis are from the twin elan model with the shock attachments, all good though

Dave your spirit is a 76 model, the first year they were made, there is a slight chance that it may be a 77 model, check on the right side front chassis there will be a 9 digit number, first 4 numbers in the serial # 5001 indicates 76 model, 77 model is 5002My first sled was the 78 model which my Dad bought me  for Christmas. I own a 79, 80, 82
