After market pistons i bet. I had exactly the same thing happen to mine and when i looked closer you could see the porosity in the aluminum where the top expansion ring (was)

Beautifull job on the restoration, quality work. So what was the problem? From the look of the plug on the right with the white ash on it you can tell it was running too hot on that cylinder. What caused that though?

A long way from the Moto-Ski's of the early years. A lot of people I rode with had them. Isn't this one after Ski-doo owned them? This looks identical to the Blizzard, 9500.
