I love how much Dan simultaneously hates this game so much he yells at it and is fascinated by it to notice all these little touches he doesn't remember or didn't notice from the first time. Meanwhile Arin sounds like he's trying to figure out how to get to the airport parking or something.

The theory that Arin alluded to is that you cross time and space during the events of P.T. So when you see the bathroom door rattling at one point, that's actually you in another point in time trying to open the door. And when you look through the peephole from the bathroom, the eye you see on the other side is your eye looking back from another point in time. Given the quote at the beginning of the game and that this is a phenomenon that happened in previous Silent Hill games, the theory is strongly believed to be true.

The fact that they don't remember certain conversations, and repeat them almost word for word several years ago is so funny to me. Good to know that Dan still has the same 7 days tolerance to people puking on him, even after all this years.

It's kind of amazing how a game that never came out was so influential on horror games moving forward. The atmosphere, the sound design, the knowledge that something terrible happened but only a skewed version of events from someone we don't even know the identity of. It's influence and disappointment backstory all still infamous to this day.

I remember watching the first game grumps playthrough of PT with my girlfriend, we both screamed at every jumpscare and then laughed so hard at Dan being even more scared than us. Game grumps was such a big part of our time together, we'd watch it after work and cry with laughter together. She died last year. I know she would have loved this, thanks for everything you do guys, this re-visit means a lot. Also it's still hilarious!!

I love that this time around Arin is weirdly fond of Jellybaby as opposed to 10 years ago when he wanted to punt him like a football. He's truly embracing his "Daddy" phase.

although the game was never made, you can tell that PT had such a huge impact on the horror gaming community. the hyper-realism, the first person perspective, and the looping aspect became a trend in mainstream and indie games after this was released. everyone wanted to recreate the experience that was PT, but i don’t think any game will ever be able to come close to it. PT’s just THAT good!
