I love that your into gives something that grabs or attention rather than restating information we already learned from the title for 30s

To anyone asking about the Epixon fork from SR Suntour- I recently purchased one for my 2014 Trek X Caliber and it’s fantastic! Straight steerer option, light weight, lock out/dampening, rebound, and air. Also SR Suntour offers a discount with their upgrade program. Highly recommend the Epixon!

Excellent review. One of the best reviewers I’ve see . You really cover the things needed with your video of the fork in use with different settings. Thanks.

i've had this fork on a hardtail for about 2 years now and I never did a service or anything just as a pure test. the air seals finally blew and boy i must say i was properly impressed with this fork. i put it from hard riding to just normal trail rides and jumps, rock gardens, drops, stair cases, pretty much everything. for the price this is a killer fork.

Just got these forks, upgrading froma basically stiff old sr suntour raidon coil fork, the sticktion was strong with that one. These rst first air forks are Savage! It feels like a brand new bike. They're quite responsive and feel pretty similar to my buddies rockshox. Very plush indeed, it's like cycling a cloud.

Suntour's budget air forks (Raidon and up) use the same internals as their top of the line AXON WERX fork just with cheaper dampers and heavier components. They would have the same feeling if you just changed the damper to the AXON damper which is cross-compatable for all their 32mm forks.

My son has the 24 inch version of the F1RST in his XC bike. The Stiktion is important for a 25kg rider but pretty much disappeared after I just did a lowers service. I couldn’t find the correct oil to use but used some of the SID 5wt and some SRAM butter on the bushings and seals.

About the stiction on the fork. GMBN has a video on YouTube showing how to service your fork. One of their videos show how to reduce dyiction by using grease. You need to remove the silver piece on the rubber seal and gently pull back a piece of the rubber seal slightly, then put a few drops of fork suspension grease down into where the rubber seal is.

I have been using RST F1ST forks on my 29er hardtail for about a year now, although not offroad, still plenty of gutter drops and rough surfaces and I think its fine. Mine suffers a little stiction (not enough to bother me), however I don't ride it every week so I think it will get better over time. Actually I notice it more when I just compress the fork when I am stationary than when I have my fat ass weight on it riding around. It still seems quite plush compared to the Rockshox TK30 on my 26er. I never feel the need to upgrade for my style of undemanding riding.

I have the 2011 30mm 100mm model and I have put over 5000km on it and the only problemwith it is that the lockout has broken... other than that it works really good. And in absorbs the small bumps/gravel better than my 2017 fox32 revolution 100mm

Okay so I baught my bike with this fork on it and at the time the fork was really supple and I really enjoyed it..but it was not 3 months later when the damper on the fork and all the seals just totally got shredded..since I am in South Africa there was no spares for me and I had to buy a brand new fork for my bike..

So in short the F1rst is a great fork but it certainly has reliability issues and spares for the fork is very scares..

I´ve got the F1RST (Platinum series) 26" on my retro hardtail - my fork also suffered from the heavy sticktion - i´ve serviced it recently for the first time and got rid of it. In the Platinum-series the hydraulic-damping unit is screwed onto the bottom of the right stanchion - if this screw is too tight the sticktion occurs.

I had the same problem on my Manitou Marvel, its like its not flush when i bought it brandnew, i rode it for 6 months and still like that. I fixed it by replacing the cheap fork oil that is in my Manitou Marvel
