Shopper Finds Dress by Jackie Kennedy Designer at Goodwill

When a Texas mom bought a beautiful sparkly gown at Goodwill, little did she know how special it was to fashion history. The tag inside the dress shows it’s from Oleg Cassini. He's the designer who dressed Jacqueline Kennedy for JFK's inaugural ball in 1961. The former first lady adored Cassini. For this gem of a dress, Kansas Michalke paid just $14.99. Inside Edition’s Ann Mercogliano has more.

Did a bit of research:

Oleg Cassini vintage dresses can be worth easily over $400, if not more, depending on the kind of dress it is. Haven't looked for that specific dress, but even the cheapest Oleg Cassini style clothes via google can be triple digits.

This clip is misleading-fake news. The dress is modern, and while beautiful, has nothing to do with Jackie Kennedy in reality. Were not even told how much its worth. That's like owning off the rack, ready to wear evening wear clothes and going around saying "Jackie Kennedy wore this brand!". Really? So what? As if no one's seen a department store label pretty dress at the Goodwill before? This deserves national attention how? Let's see some actual Jackie history!! Click bait!

I guess I’m old. I thought everyone knew who Oleg Cassini was. Inside Edition you kind of made it sound as if Jackie wore it. Oleg Cassini made many dresses not just for Jackie Kennedy Onassis. It’s stunning and a great find. Usually things at Goodwill nowadays seem overpriced! Oh wait that’s probably just here in California! 🤦🏻‍♀️👍🏼🤣

I bought an Oscar de la Renta "little black" cocktail dress at a consignment/thrift store in similar fashion. Love it!

Let's make a whole lot more out of this than it really is and broadcast it all over the news. Cassini was also personal designer to: Veronica Lake, Gene Tierney, and Rita Hayworth; eventually he would also dress Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Joan Crawford, Anita Ekberg, and Gina Lollobrigida Having said that, Cassini also designer for the 'average person". The Black Tie line of clothing is a mass produced off the rack" creation and can be purchases online. I hardly think it deserves national coverage.

That dress is far more beautiful than any dress at the Oscars this year.

its a pretty dress and looks great on her but its 1990s and Oleg Cassini pieces arent rare, espically more modern.... Ive had a 60s gold Oleg dress and sold it on ebay for 200 after sitting for YEARS so its not that special or worth a fortune - if it was personally owned and worn by Jackie and photographed then YES she won the lottery but dealing in vintage for 20 plus years literally on ebay if lucky I'd get 200 bucks

they just told us that she paid 15$ and then they proceed to ask us.... how much we think she paid? 15$. you just told us!

I thought they were going to mention the designer that created Jackie’s wedding dress, but that’s cool.😎
