Another author you might enjoy is Beverley Nichols. He is no longer living. I have been watching for his book:

Down the Garden Path (Jonathan Cape 1932; Doubleday 1932)*

If you google his name, will see he wrote several garden books.

He was born on 1898 & died in 1983. All of his books will be old & maybe harder to find.

Just check him out & see if you might like his books.
