LAPD Warns Against Street Racing as 'Fast X' Releases

Los Angeles police are showing off a smashed Lamborghini to drive home their warning that illegal street racing spikes whenever new movies from the "Fast and Furious" franchise are released. At an East Los Angeles market made famous in the first "Fast and Furious,” street racers have caused chaos for more than two decades. As Inside Edition's Jim Moret reports, new bright yellow barricades were installed in the intersection to hopefully put the brakes on would-be copycats.

Any, "Street Racer, " that ends up smashing into someone else, should pay for the repairs of the car/new car (if it was totalled), injuries/medical bills of the other driver/parties involved, and lost wages and pain and suffering, plus jail time and a revoked license.

back when i used to street race we would go to a secluded 2 lane country road and already have lines/flags posted along the side of the road and race and come back to our meet spot to send the next group out. it was very organized and we tried to ensure not only our safety but the safety of the public as well. we never shut down roads or intersections to do donuts in like these kids do nowadays

They should have those yellow barricades everywhere!! Especially in front of business and convenient stores. They can help prevent people from using their cars to crash through businesses. The cops haven't really done much when it comes street takeovers. We will see!
