Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump holds a campaign rally in Schnecksville, Pennsylvania.

Donald Trump has said he will “absolutely” testify in his criminal trial over a hush money payment to the adult film actress Stormy Daniels.

Trump’s lawyers lost an appeal on Friday night to postpone the start of the trial, as the judge dismissed their argument that it had attracted too much publicity. It will begin in a New York courtroom on Monday with the selection of a jury.
