Nice quick tour through some beautiful Russian songs. Song 10 was used for the opening and closing credits of "Eyes Wide Shut". Song 9 became the pop music song "Those Were the Days" by Mary Hopkin, and produced by Paul McCartney. Song 8 is also known as "Montagues and Capulets", and is from Prokofiev's "Romeo and Juliet" ballet. Songs 7 & 6 are from "The Nutcracker". Song 5 is known in English as "The Russian Peddler's Song". I've always liked Song 4, but never knew the name, so it's cool to hear it here. I've never heard Song 3 before, but it's nice. Song 2 is always heard at the Olympics when Russia wins a gold medal. I've never heard Song 1.
