Hi, i'm looking for this mic... In fact 3 of them for 3 person recording with the Scarlett 18i8 3rd Gen.

What do you think of this configuration ? I heard that the Podmic need a cloudlifter for use it the right way, but it cost more than the mic, per mic...

Thank your for your answer, great video by the way 😊

Where did you get your background set up?

Could you measure the distance between the top of the table (or underside of the mount that is in contact with the surface it's attached to) and the bottom of the top half of the arm with the bottom half vertical and top half horizontal? Been looking for the physical dimensions of the arm, but everywhere I go the numbers are all different or aren't labeled properly or just completely wrong. I want to check the clearance of it to see if it will work with my setup, or if I'll have to change where I'm wanting to put it.

Also, you can route an XLR cable through the outer square tubing on each arm, and even put it through the mount if you're using the desk insert, but it requires taking the head off of the XLR cable, which most people can't or aren't willing to do.

Hi, i have the Rode Podmic connected to a MG10XU, hooked to a Rode PSA1. No complaints about the way the PSA1 holds the Podmic, it's fantastic. However, my PSA1 has the squeaking problem, whenever i move up or down the arm, it squeaks like crazy. I tried to lube it up with some silicon lube, no changes, even with WD-40 it still squeaks and it's driving me crazy. It can ruin a record so easily... Do you have this problem with the PSA1 ?

Great video as usual, keep up the good work dude.

Is there anything else between the mic mount and the podmic besides the circle chrome plate? I’m missing the chrome plate on my setup, and it feels kind of loose. I noticed there’s a wider hollow circle near the top of the screw-in on the podmic and I’m not sure if something is supposed to be filling that or not.
