Which irons are the best five for forgiveness and game improvement for mid handicappers and high handicappers. In this video myself and 18 Handicap golfer Miles go through the top five that are available this year.

I bought the PING G425s, very happy with their performance. Was a tough decision between the Titleist 300s or the 425, but happy with the direction I went.

I have the T300s and they are absolutely fantastic. Long, forgiving and they don’t look like a toaster down by the ball.

Just tested most of those and got fitted for the Mizuno jpx hot metal. I'm sure the Mizuno would have been top or close in your test. Great video Lee and nice to see a mud handicap golfer also testing 👍

180 Yards with a 7 Iron for 18 Handicap. That is pretty impressive. I am 18 Handicap and I hit my 7 Iron maybe 145 on Average.

I got fitted a few weeks ago. I am around a 20 handicap golfer. I went into the fitting believing that the Taylormade stealth irons were for me. I tried 11 different Irons and hands down the Srixon ZX4’s were the superior irons… it wasn’t even close. I would have never even looked at those irons! So glad I paid for the fitting!

I need to play a round with the father-in-law, probably close in age. Been playing the Sim 2 os max, with same results, 10+ yards and more confidence. They have been the right clubs for me, no regrets. I did go though a proper fitting and tried several of these clubs which also helps when I see mine at #5 and not think maybe I should of gotten one of the others, nope, I got the right club for my swing.

Hi Lee .. so glad you reached this conclusion as I’ve been fitted for these, they narrowly beat the Titleist T300 for me. I like them, not yet in love though as my 6 and 5 iron have very little gap, just like my previous set. This is the issue with fitting 7 iron only. If I had some data, pre purchase I would have got 6-AW and probably replaced 5 iron with a hybrid, or could have been fitted with a different shaft maybe..

I’m still playing Callaway X20’s, 5-PW. The lofts are a lot weaker than todays modern irons, 7i is 33*, but I find them quite forgiving and consistent. I transition to hybrids then 7w, 4w and driver at the top end of the bag. As I’m getting older 67, distance becomes more of an issue, so I’m currently looking at the PXG 0211’s which can be had for $95 🇨🇦 per club right now. A real steal of a deal.

Not following your logic. The title is MOST FORGIVING, but then you say this one or that one "feels better", "looks better" "doesnt look like game improvement". Are you evaluating "BEST ALL AROUND" or just "forgiveness"

Playing Cleveland UHX irons (Launcher XL are late 2021 replacements). They have a lot of Srixon tech in them. But I just looked at ZX4 specs, 28.5° loft for a 7 iron! The Apex DCB is 30º. Great video, keep it up. Miles is a great at giving the mid/hi hndcpr perspective.

I play Cobra's myself - F8's. I tried them against Ping's, Callaway's, and Taylor Made's when I had the fitting, and dispersion on the Cobra's was miles ahead of the others.
Still love them now, and I'd never even given them a thought when I went to try them all out at the fitting.
Interesting vlog though Lee, and the Srixon clubs do look fantastic.

Great comments and suggestions as usual my choices in any order the Pings, blending different Mizuno 921/919s and same with Apex DCBs, Apex, Apex pro. Left field I would add Wilson Launch pads.

You should do a video on Wilson Launch Pad 2 and Cleveland Launch HB with 18 Handicap. Curious to see those numbers.
