One caveat I'd throw out there if you are basing your choice on handicap, is understand WHY you are at your handicap.
When I was around an 18, it wasn't my ball striking that was the problem. I just never saw a 3 putt i didn't like.
Once I got with a decent putting coach, i dropped to a 6 handicap. I was using Titleist AP2 the entire time.

So just adjust your scale accordingly.

As a 54 handicap beginner, realizing the end of the scale is at 25 is quite a humbling experience 😂

I am a high handicapper and I have the Cobra T-Rails. Yeah, they look a bit weird but they gave me back the confidence, I might actually enjoy golf and maybe get better. Awesome clubs for beginners and high handicappers.

I’m a 15 handicap and was recently fit for Mizuno’s. I really wanted the 225 Pro’s as I love the look of those irons. However, the JPX923 Forged provided me with much more consistent performance and are now in my bag producing great results. Just another example of why a good fitting is so important.

I'm a 8 handicap and I got custom fitted for my irons 3 years ago. The Titleist T-300 irons were the best all around, most consistent irons for me. Great clubs

I’m a 15, and I bought the 225 Pro two months ago. Absolutely love them. The ball flight is pure and it’s crazy how much more spin they generate

I just bought a set of T300s after using a set of hand me downs for 15 years...what a wild change to my game. They are absoloute rocket ships and the weight placement in the head of the club has helped enormously in my swing with much more consistent centre strikes because of the feel of everything. Couldnt be happier. (18ish handicap)

I've just started playing again after a 20 year hiatus. Tried many different clubs from lots of brands. Ended up with a set of G430's. By far the most comfortable club for me out of all the ones I tested. For someone in my position its a great club

Holy Crap! I went from about a 10 to 3 handicap with nike vapor pro combos. Bought them new (my first and only new set of irons in my life) the year Nike stopped making clubs. Still love them! Good Call Finch!

As an 18 handicap and owner of Titleist T-300 irons I was elated to see these clubs made the list. They are very forgiving irons that still allow me to shape shots when I need to, not to mention they look and feel great.

My cousin who’s trying to be an semi pro golfer, had some Taylor made blades mb tour play just chilling in storage and he passed them too me cause he upgraded, learned how to play golf with blades. My friends and brother who is a golfer told me I was learning golf the hard way but after 5 months. Puring blades is so satisfying

Nice video Pete! As a golf equipment geek here is my personal handicap scale list:
25+ - Cleveland Launcher Halo
18-25 - Taylormade Stealth
10-18 - Srixon ZX7
5-10 - Mizuno JPX 923 Tour
5 and under - Callaway Apex MB

I'm a big fan of the hollow bodied irons. I've hit the 225 and it felt great. Currently play PXG Gen 3 0311P. That category of irons has added a lot of joy to my game.

I took a 14 year break and when I came back to golf I chose the cobra sz irons they were easy to hit high and long. I’m currently down to a 8 HC. And dropping. I love golf.

13 hdcp. I use the Cleveland Launcher UHX in combo with the Launcher Halo Hybrids. I love the clubs, especially the hybrids. So much easier to hit than lower irons.

I've fluctuated between a 0-3 handicap over the last 10 years depending on how frequently I play and practice. Mizuno has consistently made irons that work well for me and I've played the Mizuno JPX 919 tour's for the last several years. From what I hear they are fairly similar to the Mizuno pro 223's. I like having a little extra forgiveness than a blade iron but also still keeping a fairly accurate club.

Been playing for a little under a year, currently at a 24 hcp but got fitted for mizuno 223s my fitter said the only reason he gave me my clubs is because of my swing speed, can definitely tell they’re a harder club to hit but I love the feeling when I get a pure one!

I got fitted to the T300s a few years ago, and I LOVE them. I shot a 96 over the weekend. I can only imagine how much higher it would have been if I had the T100s

10 handicap, was playing Wilson Staff D7 forged, they got me from 28 down to 10. Just traded them in and got the Cobra King Tour irons! They’re lovely to look at and feel amazing ✌️

I'm a 54 handicap beginner golfer and bought a cheap used set of clubs which turned out to be forged blades. Not the best beginner set, but I reckon they will teach me to hit the center fairly quickly
