The bucket brigade example is pretty good. A similar thing happens in the tech software industry with all the big players leveraging free/open source software (FOSS) to make their billions. The Free Software Foundation has been arguing about this for years.

I'm thinking that, the longer the pandemic goes on, the more difficult it will be to find willing employees who are willing to put up with low wages, a lack of benefits, and intolerable working conditions. The business owners should be rightly nervous.

Countries, who are allies of the US, have to deal with more than vaccine patent rights. Brazil wanted to order the Russian vaccine, but the US interfered, advising the Brazilian government not to do so. This was about the time Lancet medical journal report the Russian vaccine was 92% effective (That was couple of months ago or so. i don't know what the situation is now.)

I briefly talked with this woman from a dating app who told me her job is as a corporate lawyer whose job task is to find tax loopholes to save the hedge fund shareholders money. I told her I support socialism and that I feel her profession is a huge part of the problems in the country and world. She kind of agreed and said that her little son even questioned her and thought the poor should be getting more money not the rich. I could sense cognitive dissonance from her. So yea I think most people in the industries and profession have a decent idea of what they are involved in

Reminds me of a conversation I had recently with a acquaintance about Jeff Bezos. I stated how Bezos made 13 billion dollars in one day and how sick and a morale that is. He thought it was just fine! Now that's real sickness.
