This is bar none the greatest era of the NWA starring the original 4 Horsemen.

The Four Horsemen kept the NWA entertaining. I remember them jumping Dusty Rhodes damn near every other week!! 😂😂😂😂

I love how the 80s NWA crowd sounded like cheers in a high school gymnasium, and there was a strong female fan base.

I can still hear my granny cursing at the TV watching wrestling

R.I.P to Hawk and Animal of the Road Warriors. My favorite tag team of all time.

Flair and the Horsemen knew how to generate major heat to promote the big, upcoming events. This drove fans wild and sold a ton of tickets.

I vividly remember this. It legitimately ruined my weekend. This incarnation of the 4 Horsemen is the best group of villains ever assembled.

I watched this live and I'm just as excited now as I was then. Wrestling doesn't come close today.

What a beautiful championship belt. Those were the greatest days ever in wrestling for so many reasons....

There was nothing like the NWA back in the 80s. I was lucky enough to see Flair at the Greensboro Coliseum several times back in the day. That town was one of the meccas of Pro Wrestling!

This is pure gold .... I was a high-schooler back then, and I have such awesome wrestling memories from this time. The total garbage that passes for wrestling today is horrific - the teenagers today will never know true professional wrestling!

Man, this clipping goes back to when I was a little kid. Ric Flair is all young and Buff here. LOD was my favorite Tag Team. RIP.

I actually believed as a kid that this was real. Kayfabe was an unbroken rule.

Back when wrestling was great, now it’s dead😵

How strong was Hawk to pick up a 240+ pound Ric Flair with such ease. And how heavy is he and Animal that it took multiple men to pick them up!! Greatest wrestling era EVER!

Saturday nights at 6:05 on TBS. We never had cable back then but my dad and I went to my uncles house ever Saturday to watch this, fun times. I also remember changing from VHF to UHF to get the Spanish language channel which had Florida Wrestling on as well and that would be on a weekday night and late, around 11:00 pm.
