MADAGASCAR HIRA GASY IN ANTANANARIVO

One sunday, in Antananarivo, Madagasikara, the famous company TARIKA RAMILISON BESIGARA ZANANY is performing the opera Hira Gasy.
It is a specific art from Madagascar, which began during the beginning of the kingdom of Madagasikara (XVth century).
This art is performed by peasants who are also artists. It is a holy art.
The girls are dressed with the same kind of dresses the british queen Victoria offered to the Queens of Madagasikara.
The boys are dressed with uniforms inspired by those of the malagasy royal army (XIXth century).
The music instruments (violons, trumpets, drums) are the inheritage of the royal malagasy army bands of King Radama I, equiped by Great Britain at the beginning of the XIXth century.
The audience is very huge : hundreds of housands of people attend the Hira Gasy.
The companies are united in a confederation : FIMPIMAMAD
And this very sunday, there is a nice surprise : the talentuous MITIA attends the performance !

The Hira Gasy opera is a world heritage UNESCO.
