Severe weather affected areas all across the state of Utah on Sunday. In Cedar City and nearby Enoch, rain turned roads into rivers, flooding homes. In Tooele, cars drove through flooded intersections. Streets in downtown Salt Lake City were also hit with heavy rain and flooding.

I'm not going to stop my rain dance yet. When lake mead is full I'll stop.

He said “ Enoch received a report from Noah”.. Of course Enoch being the great grandfather of Noah and this being a flood, it is extremely ironic.

It’s too bad the national news doesn’t provide this quality level of journalism, with facts; who, what when, where, and detailed reports from locals. I live in San Antonio, Texas and am not sure why this showed up in my feed, but I’m glad it did. Best of luck to all of those affected, I’m sure that folks in Utah will help each other and rebuild. We had serious flooding here two years ago and it is a scary and devastating event. Good reporting.

We could use that water in the western states. Stay safe Utah.

High school level earth sciences explain why and how this is occurring. It’s not at all surprising.

Just a couple weeks ago there were news reports about how Great Salt Lake is drying up from drought in the Great Basin. God heard the concern. He's raising the level of the Lake a bit...

Sarcasm aside, it's great to see neighbors helping neighbors. That's what makes the Mountain West so great. People helping each other.

All these natural disasters will increase and get much worse.

TODAY: That was last week.

I think I would take my home flooded over NO water or wells running dry... any and every time... the rain is a blessing... they will be able to rebuild and clean up- but the water table takes God/nature to refill

Prayers need to be more specific. Let’s pray for rain to fill reservoirs not cities. 😇

People don't build near 50 or 100 year flood zones ...your playing with problems. Look at the land understanding it.

Perhaps, there are tunnel systems that need flushing?

Enoch always gets flooded as it is a flood plain for the canyons above. I was there when Cedar City had rivers go over the bridges and flood big parts of the outskirts of town. Enoch got it worse as they always do.

Southern Idaho got much needed rain from this same storm system.
