I bought this app about 2 years ago and used it about 2 years ago and it was too complicated to remember how to set things. I will try again, always knew it's potential but just did not give it a try. Thanks Sharon!

Every one that keeps saying they jail break their iPhones to do this: you don't have to root your Android for this it works out of the box. You're just reinforcing how limited your iPhone is. Rooting an Android device opens up the ENTIRE operating system and allows you to tweak anything you can think of. Jail breaking doesn't.

I love Tasker.My favorite of the tasks I have set up is a security system. If someone unlocks my phone with the stock style slider, Tasker takes a picture with the front and rear cameras, starts recording audio, pinpoints my phone's location and sends all of the info to an email address I have that isn't linked to the phone. Meanwhile, it brings up a custom password lock screen that can't be bypassed by a reboot. Even if the person destroys the phone, I have a photo and audio recording of them t

no, you can set your home, or work or whatever in 30 seconds, 1 minute, etc. It uses cell tower id to determine your area.

yes i agree with you to some point...i agree on the smaller screen....(will be 4 inches on new one which is enough for me) i despise the fact they dont have micro USB -.-, i dont mind non removable battery and it lasted enough for me when you do certain things (lasted 1 to 1 and half day for me) and lastly i rly dont mind that it doesn't have widgets cause i like the look of the IOS so its diffrent from person to person.... i like samsung but im rly excited for new iphone and i like it more :)

Instead of using gps to determine location, you can set it to do things when you're near certain cell towers.

Hey Sharon... check out llama ..its exactly like this..but it conserves battery cause it uses masts for detecting location rather than data or GPS ...

you can get tasker to literally do anything, launching apps or turning on wifi is baby stuff.

Actually it is a device ability. Does your device have the "ability" to run this app?

Sure. Someone could write an app for it. But I don't know if Apple would like an app to have that kind of control over their devices. Or maybe they would. We can't say for sure.

I used to do this all manually (using CSS and Java), I guess this is a more user-friendly option.
