The Voice of the Devil Z. A personal project that I've been working on for a while.

For the engine sounds of other cars in the anime (GT-R, 911, etc.), I also have some clips of that here:

How?
I acquired a copy of the anime with 5.1 surround sound audio, which allowed me to take out the audio channels with music, and have only the engine (and dialogue) sound remaining. Then, I went through all 26 episodes and picked out the best clips with clear and crisp sounds. As a bonus, I upscaled the clips from 720p to 1080p using After Effects, and then transcoded the resulting videos to 120FPS using SVP, before uploading the final product to YouTube.

Why?
In a few years, I might have a new hobby, a new obsession. But for now, it is the Z and Wangan, and I will treasure this time we have together.

They even get the slightest rattle that the car makes at speed, something only a car owner would understand.

One of the things I love about Wangan Midnight is how they make cars seem like mythical apex predators that wander the concrete plains of the highway, looking for prey to catch. Beasts that you would stare at awe from a distance but you would never tango with them otherwise you could get bit.

Rule 1 - To watch Wangan Midnight or Initial D you always have to watch a version recorded by a toaster first.

Fun fact : speed shop shinohara built an actual basically exact replica of this car that made 600hp for the wangan midnight movie in 1991

Made by ACGT, the same studio that produced Initial D 4th Stage hence the identical CGI animation. In WM, you can hear Initial D's voice actors themselves. Takumi is a surgeon who drives a Porsche.
