A Level Physics Paper 2 Predictions

I really hope Paper 1 went OK for you. Here are my thoughts and what I think Paper 2 could be like based on this - and don't forget your protractor for your exam!

The more I look into it the worst i feel about the AQA paper really hope the next paper goes better than paper 1

I think the multiple choice in AQA was much harder (took much more time) than previous years, even 2023. And that's worth 25 marks which is significant

Honestly I'm so dissappointed in myself for the AQA multiple choice, it just felt like I had to read every question 3 or 4 times to understand it. It didn't help that they were mostly wordy too.

Hopefully paper 2 is more black and white with the MCQs, i honestly wouldn't mind a more difficult long/short answer section A

OCR paper is honestly such a blur to me now. Maybe a mix of nerves and long worded questions but all I can remember were the hard questions (especially the luminosity 4 marker and second 6 marker)

Aqa MCQs were harder, i messed up my time management so badly, spent so long on that long electricity 5 marker, then realised it was incredibly simple after the exam.

I still think some questions in section a of aqa were a bit challenging, like diffraction grating, bit of particles especially kinetic energy, stationary and a bit with 2 markers in electricity. But overall I think grade boundaries for this paper is gonna be about high as compared to 2023 paper 1 where 71% was A*. Mcqs did drain some time I do have to admit.

I remember when i sat through paper 1 for AQA physics last year and i genuinely thought I was going to get something below a B. May sound bizzare but paper 3 for section on practical skills seemed a bit better in comparison - paper 1 really stressed me out so much!

It didnt worry me too much about uni because i did 4 A-levels & they didnt care if i got AAA/A*AB with physics in it, but paper 1 made me feel like i had to put in more effort now to my other 3 subjects to make sure i got in - which was maths, FM and Comp Sci.
Still got an A in the end cuz paper 2 carried it but I will never forget the moment I walked out of paper 1 feeling defeated.

OCR was crazy I moved to england 4 years ago so my English was really bad in the exam and i messed it up thanks to the wordy questions and they even took my extrra time away since it has been more than 3 years (i spent 2 years at home thanks to covid) i did every past paper that showed up and this paper was a scam i was hoping for an A but now hopefully i wont get a C

OCR A was difficult but not cos of the difficulty of the physics but more so the way they worded the questions whether it be the length of it or the vagueness, I found some of it really hard to compute. It was either too long or too vague to understand or some free marks (I'm hopefully looking at mid 60% but hopefully paper 2 and 3 is gonna go great)

Aqa paper 2 - multiple choice wasn't that bad, long answers were absolutely abysmal

Edexcel was so calm probably the best paper I’ve done, praying paper 2/3 is the same

Also the mistake for OCRA on the missing column made me realise that the point was an outlier so I didn’t include it on the hysteresis loop. On one of the coloumn’s the value should have been 0.25 metres instead of 0.35 metres
