Hoarding copper pennies is all over the internet these days. But just who is hoarding copper pennies? People that are concerned with the high inflation, people who are concerned with federal government issues, people who want instant value in their investments, and of coarse "preppers too". So who is hoarding copper pennies? There is a good chance it will be you.

Amazon products I use all the time in my copper penny hoarding.
If you follow a link below and purchase any product I get credit for it. It all helps. Thank you

(I like these for pennies or nickels)

I stack copper pennies because I enjoy it, but from a purely financial standpoint it's hard to imagine how it would pay off significantly in the end, unless you store thousands of dollars in face value, and copper goes up more in value, and it becomes legal to melt the pennies, and they become hard to find in circulation. Even then, when selling such a quantity, you'd likely get less than spot for it and would have to pay a few thousand dollars in shipping costs for such weight. Not to mention having to store it for all those years.

Do you check the 1982s for large and small dates? Both copper and zinc have them also both mints.👍

We’re are you getting the rolls at ? Here in W.V.a bank rolls won’t have any . Everyone around here the wheat pennys are collected pretty highly now the copper is real good in change and rolls are pretty good . But no wheats I haven found any in change in years I did get a mercury dime in change in the last 5 years . They say if you check these change machines were they put buckets of coins in then it prints them off a total then they go to the front desk like at grocery stores and Walmart . Those coin machines spit silver coins in the return slot people don’t think to look in there and when you do you can find silver quarters dimes mostly but any coin that don’t fall in the weight zone it spits them into return slot so I didn’t know if you knew that I don’t know we’re your at but big city’s or places that don’t fool around with collecting things like that can be found easy ! Maybe it’s there a bigger concentration of people and a lot of people don’t know about wheat penny and like you I started as a kid teenager in middle school my mom had a roll of mercury dimes I had a book she let me get the ones i needed I found a 1942/1 Philly worth 350 then over 1000 today . That’s just a guesstament but got into collecting for my one and only grandson I have in mint state from about 34-35 all the way to 47 last year of walking liberty a beautiful coin my mom born in 1940 and my dad rest his soul 1936 lost him well the 8th of this month will be 2 1/2 years . He got me into doing it and wished for me to get my grandson in to it . When I worked I gave my dad a bunch of money and he had a bunch saved off the books as he would say 6-7 months before about 3 years ago he said when I pass go hear and get that . He said you was always the one who listen to me it’s mine when you get it it’s still mine but this is what you do with it so I took his money and did what he wanted-me to do with it I’ve got my grandson one pretty walking liberty / Washington /mercury and side coins are 3 1921 Morgan’s mint state p, s, d 4 1884 Morgan cc, o, p, s first two in mint state cc, o the p an s xtra fine and gotta get a couple more for the 1904 got the o in BU condition then just random standing libertys and rosevelt dimes probably close to a couple thousand wheat pennys a few Kennedy 64-70 and a few Ben Franklin half’s couple rolls of Indian heads and some big 1 cent coins from the early 1800’s 1 Roman 0186 Prius the ruler of that error it’s not that good of shape but you can make it out . Crazy that coin couldn’t even read it at first over four days of using everything known to man barely fazed it . I looked on line and a guy says take a propane torch and burn it off it won’t hurt it and all the impurity’s will come out it will look like ash all over he said then just scrub it off and put some aluminum polish on it I did if not for the wear it would look like new it shines like gold would but roam was smart it’s a four or five metal combo this way if you melted there coins down and made something they would just check the composition of the metal in question if there coins were melted to make your item off with your head . It was considered hierrocy ! I liked you vid and will subscribe ! Thanks happy collecting !

Yeah, I have 100lbs+ of Copper pennies too, but I don't know that I'll ever make it to 1, 000lbs. I've been passively collecting Copper pennies since I was a kid. I don't actively search through penny boxes. I just purpose to use cash as much as is possible, and I intentionally break bills down to get change. Whenever I come across a Copper penny, I just take it home and toss it into an old 1 gallon pickle jar. I also have close to 300 1 ounce Copper rounds that I've collected over the last 15 years, though I don't make a practice of buying those. Copper is a monetary metal just like Silver or Gold, but its Wealth Storage Density Capacity (WSDC) is just lower than that of Gold or Silver. It still stores wealth and purchasing power over time, so it's good practice for people to have some around, even if the rightly focus on Silver & Gold over Copper. I will be keeping Copper and Copper pennies for as long as they are available. When they are removed from circulation entirely, I have no doubt that there will be a market for buying & selling them well into the future. I also have about 25lbs of Canadian Copper pennies as well. Do you ever watch CopperMutant? If you don't, you really should. He has a way of looking at Copper, in a positive light, that you rarely hear about on other YouTube channels. Like you, I have no desire to be wealthy or rich. My only goal is to put myself into a position where I can more reliably take care of myself, my family, my friends, my church, and my community. Like you, I want to hear the words, "well done, good and faithful servant." As a Christian, I recognize that the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, so I make sure to try to hold all that I have with an open hand, recognizing that I have nothing at all, absent God's power and permission. Keep up the good work!
