A massive thanks to Ubisoft for providing early access & sponsoring this video!

After gaining early access to Valhalla, we've amassed around 60 hours of playtime each. We’ve played most of the content available, testing out different playstyles, raiding monasteries, tracking down targets, and finishing the main story. We’ve still got more side quests to complete, but it’s safe to say we’ve learned a whole lot about the game, some things later than we’d have liked to. So, before you get the game and begin to dominate England, I’m here to present 10 Things I Wish I Knew Before Playing Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. These tips will help you have the best time possible when you play the game yourself!

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is an action role-playing video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. It is set in 873 AD, allowing you to experience the Viking invasion of Britain, living through the fictional journey of Eivor. Eivor is the player character who you will be controlling, from Norway, to England, and for the rest of the game, as you get wrapped up in the conflict of the Brotherhood of Assassins and the Templar Order. This is the twelfth major installment and the twenty-second release in the Assassin's Creed series. It is a successor to the 2018 game Assassin's Creed Odyssey.

I remember the week Black Flag came out, I had about 50$ to my name at this point and I was like, do I do the responsible thing and get groceries, or... do I buy this game? So you bet your ass I bought that game and for 5 days straight I stayed in my room playing it where I ate nothing but hamburger buns

The fire arrow ability is also a huge help for looting. They can be used to destroy the breakable walls instead of looking for jars to throw at them

Just a helpful tips: once you get around power 40 you can just reset skill points and work around the trees to reveal any hidden skills. Then reset again and repeat till the whole tree is visible so you know what path to take

Last time I got hooked up in a game was Prince of Persia 1989. I absolutely loved it. After decades of not touching this stuff I have bought a next gen console and Valhalla has been my first pick. Holly cow, this thing has blown my mind. It's insane how things have progressed.
Dunno why I thought this old man story would interest any of you 😂

12 hours in and I haven't even left the Norway starting area yet...I'm loving exploring and gathering, and getting all the wealth and quest markers done...looks like I got a whole new game ahead of me yet to go, and haven't even really gotten started.

I played a two-Shield-fighter in a Pathfinder game for a while a few years ago, stoked to be able to bring her to life in this game

Took me 5 hours to get to England. Most of that time was just sitting there awestruck at the game world.

I'm new to the series of AC so this is a bit overwhelming initially so this video helps. It's hard to keep up with how much you can upgrade

Assassins creed has got to be one of my favorite games second to Skyrim. I honestly liked origins more but Valhalla was still really good! Great work guys!

Awesome tips. You can also get fish by shooting them with a bow. Train your horse to swim, load up a light bow, and go horseback swimming bow fishing using your Odin Eye. Easier and less annoying than using the fishing tool. You don't have to try to stay in shallow water like you do if you rely on the spear.

Major tip missed:

Prioritize upgrading your rations first.

You can upgrade a weapon or two along the way, but you absolutely want rations upgraded fully as soon as you can manage it.

This drastically increases your surviveability in the game, and makes surviving in areas that are beyond your current level much more feasible.

I never found myself wanting arrows, as they are pretty much everywhere, but it does make hunting a bit easier to upgrade your quiver once or twice. If you're not maining a bow, upgrade once or twice and then prioritize weapons and armor, you'll rarely run out of ammo.

One of my favorite abilities is fire strike for melee, if you activate it near the enemy it will automatically fill their burn meter half way. If you fill it the rest of the way they get locked in a animation trying to put it out. If you just keep hitting them it won’t run out and if you have all four adrenaline slots if your fighting a zealot by the time they fight back they are near death.
