There is a park, there is a mall, there is a nice library, tthere is a football team, there are international food placees and most important: there is a low budget carrier airport around!! This place would be Top10 to live down here in Brazil!!!

I've lived in Luton all my life. I'm a pensioner so that's a lot of years. Doing this kind of video is just brainwashing people into believing it's the worst. Every town centre up/ down the country have good & bad things.

I’ve lived in Luton 8 years.
It’s very challenging as a young white British female to find any social activities/interaction that would interest me.
Almost everything is aimed at the Asian community. Almost all food places provide only halal options. There’s Arabic writing above old Victorian town houses which I am a guessing is the families surname.
It’s bizarre in the fact that, in the afternoon there is an abundance of European men sitting around drinking coffee, smoking - but perhaps they work night shifts?
Plus I have never known such reckless driving and lack of courtesy on the roads as I have in Luton.
But life is not all gloomy. A Few pro’s I can say about Luton; housing costs can be found quite reasonable, you can look like absolute dog shyte and no one cares, the ICB seem to have more funding readily available than neighbouring counties and there’s a huge array of homeless services and services for adults with disabilities.
The town varies significantly from the outskirts to its centre.
it really is as bad as people make out especially if you live in a built up area but if you are generally resilient of others, it’s possible you will survive here.

If you visit Luton, things to see are

Town Centre
Hat Factory
Uni of Beds
St Marys Church
High Town
Bury Park
LTFC (you missed our famous away end!)
Wardown Park
Stockwood Park
Airport
Train stations
Chiltern Hills (all round the outskirts of Luton)

Its an eclectic mix, but its not a bad place to live. People who talk it down are just jumping on stereotypes. But most have never explored it properly! Im born and bred here and i love my town!

I think Luton is worst for British people but it's normal for Asian or migrant people. Councils are collecting taxes but not spending for maintenance.

Luton is often unfairly stigmatized. There are many desirable areas, such as Old Bedford Road, where houses can exceed £1 million in value. Despite being a town, Luton boasts its own airport. Vauxhall cars were historically manufactured here for many years. The town's proximity to London and its relatively lower prices attract numerous businesses. Luton Hoo, often overlooked by vloggers, is a former stately home and estate where the late Queen spent part of her honeymoon. It now serves as a luxury hotel, restaurant, and spa, and has been the setting for various films. Luton is also famous for its straw hat production, which is why the local football team is nicknamed the Hatters. Speaking of football, they played in the Premiership last season, and a new stadium is currently under construction. Moreover, Luton supplies caps and hats to central London's suit shops. The town is home to many beautiful parks, adding to the list of positives about this historic town. While crime is a nationwide issue, exacerbated by inadequate policing, it's not unique to Luton. A knowledgeable local tour could provide a more accurate and elevated portrayal of the town. The local council could improve the town's aesthetic by investing in areas like the shopping centre signage, among other things, as you've aptly noted.

Nice to hear the locals being positive about their town. Negativity is not good for business.

It’s not a coincidence that the areas with the most diversity are the most run down towns,

Having lived in many parts of England over the past 40 years, I can say Luton is about the same as the rest of the country. Crime is not as bad as Bedford, but a few years ago London Boroughs purchased a large building near luton airport and moved many of their homeless people to it. So we have a lot more beggers and druggies than we had.

I live in Luton, Luton is bad, go 25 miles North up the M1 to Milton Keynes, 100 times better.

Thing is the Town Centre is not representative of all of Luton. Head up to Stopsley or Bramingham and you might be surprised. That said it is a post industrial town. In the 80’s and 90’s it was booming not to mention a great night out. In the 2000’s its decline began.

Anyone can do this as an experiment. Visit the surrounding towns near Luton as a comparison. Such as Watford, Hitchin, Stevenage, St Albans, Hemel Hempstead and Bedford. You'll see it's ALL the same - except they are 5 times more DULL than Luton. You'll be glad to be back in Luton where there is at least some noise and vibrancy.
In Luton, the restaurant choice is enormous. The supermarkets and stores are nice and huge. The Amazon, Superdrug, LIDL warehouses are colossal. The airport is the 5th busiest in the country. For such a compact town, it has a lot going for it. It's main problem is its narrow minded, corrupt government that refuses to expand outwards. It could have achieved city status by now with the right vision.

I have had an association with Luton for many years.
I never had a problem with anyone day or night.
I found the muslim people to be warm and friendly.
I have a black friend there who is one of the best people in the world.
White people are nice to me.
I am white.
How you are treated depends on your attitude and the way you were brought up.
I love m luton Muslim food. I am in Australia now, planning on going to UK and visiting Luton in December.
Getting hungry just thinking about it..

This was a good starter video of Luton, as someone who was born in Luton I can say that Luton is an overlooked town for investment over decades. This has resulted in mismanagement by officials in power and appropriate structures being implemented and applied consistently over years. The people are wonderful in Luton what they need is focus on infrastructure, education and appropriate development of buildings for accommodation. Yes the hygiene in some parts is directly blamed at the Council for cutting back on cleaners around the town. Also policing is at an all time low so deterrents are at a low ebb. Overall it's still a town in development but at a slow pace. Btw you should of visited Stockwood park and LU2 areas to show the very nice parts of Luton.

Born in Luton, left in 1966 to Australia after my mother died ( dad left with three little ones) to start a new life. My dad and grandad worked for Vauxhall. My great grandfather’s name is on the war memorial in the town square, Walter Bosket. He was killed at Flanders in the Great War. My two uncles ran P&T Thorn Plumbing in Jubilee Street for many years and my grand mother ran a small shop at 2 Jubilee Street.

As a non-white coloured person myself, i find it very disturbing that the native White Anglosaxon people are a minority in some areas of England. This is the fault of multiculturalism, which doesn't promote people to assimilate into the local culture, but cling to their old culture. If people don't want to respect and assimilate into the culture of England, they should not leave their homeland in the first place, they should go back.

As for the £1 shop, in Australia we have $2 shops and it’s the same, a lot of things are $2 but some other things are more expensive but still cheap.🇦🇺

Did that old lady near the end accuse you of chucking that fast food bag on the floor?

Next time go to Wardown Park museum, The Old Moat House, Stockwood Discovery Centre, Luton Town fc game, the Carnival Arts centre and Marsh House in Marsh Farm to see REAL Luton
