DOWNLOADER APP REMOVED... This is CRAZY!

The Downloader app has been removed from the Google Play Store on Android TV devices due to a DMCA takedown. I don't think the takedown will stand, but at the moment it's causing real issues with people trying to find the Downloader app. Here is a video of why the Downloader app has been removed on Android TV devices and what we can expect in the future.

nightmare! literally just got a new projector with android tv built in. remembered how easy to follow your guides to getting netflix and iplayer installed with Downloader... and here i am. here's hoping it's resolved asap (or you figure out a good alternative)

They probably don't like people using it to install IPTV services. It's really convenient to put IPTV directly on a TV, skipping "firestick devices" altogether.

I think it's gone from the Firestick as well. I tried downloading something using Downloader earlier today, and what it downloaded instead was a 'goodbye.jpg' file and it looks to be closed down for good. I've since tried twice more and again, it continued to download a goodbye image. Even the dev might not be confident of a ban being uplifted.

i got tired of firestick they purposely limit internet to 300gb to slowly release updated versions to make money smh. I went and got nvidia shield 2019 version i'm happy 1gb internet speeds wired loving it.
