Thanks for the incredible information! As a non-medical home health agency, do I require to have a Medicaid/Medicare licensure. I went true the entire process of applying for it, I paid the fees, and at the end they asked for an attestation letter with a minimum balance of $130.000.00. I'm not sure what I did wrong, but I just could not go pass that. It's been almost ten months and I'm at stand still.

Thank you so much for this very informative video. I am aiming to be an independent contractor as a LPN and I am wondering if this also applies to me? I do want to be capable of accepting payments from MEDICARE AND MEDICAID as well.

I think most of us are non-medical home care agencies and don't qualify for certification with Medicare as we are not "home health care". As far as Medi-cal, the list of providers does not have "home care organization" or "home health care" listed at all. I'm wondering if this is done through IHSS, I am in california.Thank you so much for all of your info!

Is it beneficial to have a Medical license as they only pay $15 an hour here in Marysville CA. This is why IHSS is embedded in each county to provide home care services rather than go through private home care. While caregivers are paid a minimum of $17.50, can someone that have more details explain more information if this is really beneficial to home care agencies?
