The eoSwimBetter is like a power meter for swimming but they actually do so much more. But is it worth the price?

I hang out online:

Wow. Great review Matt but, at that price, I'll stay happy with being last out of the swim and having an easier time finding my bike in T1...

Is there any reason these can’t be worn on the forearms and front or back of the legs to measure the forces there?

Been using the EO for about 4 months... and, they are good for what they are designed to do and especially useful when combined with under water video (side-top-front). What is missing is real time feedback... combine with FORM goggles... perhaps? REAL-TIME feed back would make these device a goal mine of invaluable information and "must-have tool". I also wish there was more reference data so I could get a better feel of what EO considers a good form and provide solutions for developing a good form. More real life examples and referenced solutions would definitely help create a solution and not just information as it exists.

For example, I have a stroke form that is similar to a the only data I have available of an elite level swimmer... but, my times are 33% less. Why? My power is what appears to be the reason. It is 20-25% less. So, what does that mean - exactly? Is the power scale 1 for 1 or is it exponential. Does this reflect body position... if so, how much doe this related to the EO power data? If there were more reference athletes to effectively understand the EO data, I think it would push this device from just information to valuable applicable of information. Oh, and did I mention 🙃, REAL-TIME FEEDBACK would definitely make the device invaluable 🤑.

Amazing video quality Matt, you must spend so much time making them. Well done. Which watches are you also wearing while swimming? Would the Garmin Instict 2X be ok for swimming or is that more for running?

first amazing video as always

i want to try this! i think the 90 minute be perfect for long open water swims. once you fine tune your short time

i think for a team this be perfect. for myself as a button end age grouper i will get this once my budget allows.

and going deeper when breather is correct. i switch sides so i notice that in my videos i have used. i used a garmin 360 and put it down on the floor in the middle of the lane. So it has me going it.

also your kid is flying on backstroke!

happy training

Why does the thumbnail say 75% propulsive? is that the target EO said is achievable? i finding these sensors really useful. I wish i could film my swims but the UK is very restrictive on filming in public pools.

It gives tons of numbers and graphs, but does it give you straight feedback, what is "optimal" number or graph in certain paragraph? Or what you should do to correct certain issue in graph? Or is it that you need to consult expert about you technique and problems?
