Agatha Christy's husband's mistress drugged Agatha & checked her into the hotel, & probably spent a few days at Agatha's house, or went on vacation with Agatha's husband.

That's Phinnius Gage (spelling?). He and a railroad spike through his head. He miraculously survived but his personality was forever changed.

Going on his symptoms some Drs put forward a theory that Poe died from rabies.

Edgar Allen Poe Thad such a weird life. Our English teacher made us listen to these cds that were like three hours long about every detail of his life. He supposedly died because he was a recovering alcoholic and someone got him drunk and he kept going until he died

He came back like 3 years later, where'd they go?

I appreciate your background music, so many people go with that over used sound bit for mysterious stories. Now I immediately push the video if I hear that music. It’s irritating.

Well the governor was gone for like 3 years lol. It wasn't like he just dipped out for a few days... it's thought that the colony of Roanoke ran out of food and people assimilated into the native tribes nearby

The Roanoke settlers went native. They've done DNA tests that confirms this theory.

The lost colony - They have a very good theory on what happened to them. Makes a lot of sense too, Google has the answers.

croatoan is the name of an island, the father left his family to travel back to england and get supplies but it took him like 3 years to get back, and when he did nothing was left. he saw the word and for months he tried to sail to this island but the weather was so bad and the waves so big he just couldn't make it to this island so he gave up and went back to england never to return. i think the colony befriended some native americans and during the summer they went to the island during calmer waters. something like that.

And here's the three "creepiest" answers to those mysteries...
The colony of Roanoake was actually doing pretty bad, so the people went to assimilate with the local Croatoan tribe of Natives, having a better quality of life. Genetic studies prove this, along with the fact that the colony was abandoned, not destroyed, without any sign of sudden fleeing.

Edgar Allan Poe was probably a victim of cooping.
Back in the 1840s, election fraud was a massive thing, and Poe was probably kidnapped, stuffed crazy with alcohol, beaten up, then made to go to different election locations in different costumes with different identities to vote multiple times.

Christie's husband had asked her for a divorce, within a few months of her mother's death (whom she was very close to), which might've caused her to go through a nervous breakdown, and she just wanted to run away. Her horrible mental state easily explains the gap in her memory
