Well done to Kirsty. I never would have thought of doing that. She really has the vision.

Having moved many, many times having your stuff in your new home makes all the difference. For me it is my furniture that makes my home, where ever I happen to be

That’s a really nice spot. I wouldn’t move either. Two kids could share for crying out loud.

I grew up in a house half that size. We managed… sort of… with the 7 of us… that said good luck to everyone who can afford to buy something where no one feels crushed in.

Its a lovely reno that gives them what they need for right now, the rest like the sofa is cosmetic. 10/10

They spent the money in the right place to increase the value and sellability.

I'd rather have a kitchen table in the center of the kitchen and another living space by the massive doors, but that's just me.

The house was great to start with. But Id be happy to live in the reno.

Not much to look at outside still, but Kriste hit a home run here ! She has a gift for easing everyday family living

I don’t like the sofa in the position it is, you’d have to keep the kitchen immaculate for it not to feel like you are sitting in your breakfast/dinner dishes. Highly impractical.

Perhaps it's just me but I'm not sold on the sofa in the kitchen 😅 like.. Why would you like to sit there looking at the stove?

I wonder if Phil gets embarrassed by using the word ‘house-barrassment’??

That built in cupboard was lovely. What a loss. I hate the remodel, and I love modern design. It's horrid. They lost the architectural treasures and replaced it with stupid stuff like a couch in the kitchen. Ridiculous.

Its a NO for me although the basic idea of opening space by combining 2 rooms is a must and gr8 idea.

I like the space created but feel the seating would be better facing the doors and the table in the kitchen. I wouldn't want little ones chasing around in the kitchen when I am cooking

I have only just seen this one, must have missed it when it was on the TV but although it's totally transformed a property that was disjointed the table would be so much better positioned in the kitchen and then the sunshine and light would be in the seating area.
The other thing to consider is that with the settee being there the children will be too close to pots and pans and things that go burn in the night 😆 🤣
I bet they have sold up and moved on now anyway so all hyperthetical
