Omar Sharif, revered for such films as Dr. Zhivago, Lawrence of Arabia, Funny Girl and a host of others… appears here in what some consider to be the funniest (anothers say the stupidest, comedy ever filmed… “Top Secret!”

In an earlier scene, (not shown here), Omar Sharif is trapped in a car that is dropped into a compactor (similar to the method that we saw Oddjob dispose of a car and a secret agent in the James Bond movie Goldfinger). We are to assume that it is the end of Sharif in this movie.

Yet, in this scene, the female lead walks by an open door, and guess who we see standing there…?

The absolute insanity of the scene has got to make you laugh if not shake your head. If this scene doesn’t do it, one of the countless scenes with Val Kilmer will (and watch the movie for a really good Elvis dance impersonation by Kilmer as well).
