Crumar Mojo 61 vs Nord Electro 5d vs Wurlitzer 200A

Comparison between the Wurlitzer sounds from the Crumar Mojo 61 and Nord Electro 5d (61) and an original Wurlitzer 200A. Just recorded with an Iphone to give you a rough idea.
Everything is connected to a JBL EON615 and a litlle mixer. All EQ is set flat.
The Mojo got options to change the sound. On the Nord you cannot edit piano sounds.
Nord offers 2 wurlitzer samples this is the 1 ,the other sample is an amped version. Crumar got 1 wurlitzer but is editable with an phone or tablet.
The nord and the mojo got Organ keys ,very different from the wurlitzer hammer action keyboard but definitely playable .
Feel free if you have any questions.

Thanks for the upload! Great comparison video here - I think it's really showcasing 3 great really quality patches (1 real, of course) and none of them sound bad - sure there are some minor differences, but there's real nice richness and warmth in all of them.

This is awesome. I think you have established that close is still only close. Love that wurly tone. Thanks for the vid.

Closer than you'd expect...but that Wurly takes it by a distance.

excellent playing bro! have you explored the farfisa and vox sounds on the mojo 61?

I bought my Mojo 61 from Kraft Music online from Franklin, Wisconsin, as none were available elsewhere in the USA. They were great to deal with. It was shipped to Portland, Oregon where I picked it up at my daughter's house. I carried it back home to Galiano Island, BC, saved $$$$ by doing so, and I have been in love with it since then. I ordered the lower manual from Thomann, saved $$$$ again, and my fingers may become glued to it if I can't quit playing!
Crumar has answered my questions quickly, and with helpful info. Crumar says right away that the old Crumar have nothing to do with the current company. As I learn to edit the software with my tablet or phone, I can see how I will be able to define my own tones.
I haven't felt this way since I picked up my first bass!

Both patches sound really great but neither emulation has that chime-ey biting quality of the real 200a. Certainly not something I would notice if I weren't hearing them side by side. I had been obsessing over which one was better but now I can probably just go with which one is prettier (Crumar amiright) as they both sound nice as hell.

The real 200 sounds warmer in the low mids. A little EQ on the Crumar and Nord would be close enough for the purpose.

Nice stuff and playing, I use "Wurlie" by Acoustic sample that is for me one of the best
comparing to my Nord elect.4 and Scarbee Wurly emulation .

Great video and great playing! Do you have the settings for your ‘reed’ piano on mojo61?

I like the way you play a lot. You on airgigs by any chance?

Hi, thanks for the useful video. How does the action on the Crumar compare to that on the Nord? I understand the both use Fatar keybeds but different models. I'm thinking of buying the Crumar to replace my electro but won't if the action is softer. Another thing I was curious about is how the acoustic piano sound compares between these boards.

What is that song starting at 1:22? I can‘t get it out of my head and I‘d love to get my hands on some sheet music. :)

All sound great! I've got both the 200A and the Electro 5D 73 model.
I'll obviously gig with the Electro because it's way lighter and more versatile.
As far as the Crumar Mojo 61 goes, to me there's something a bit strange about
getting Piano sounds from a Keyboard that's styled so much like an Organ..

It’s very close, they all sound great but I think that’s mainly because of the great playing. Can I ask, is the Nord balancing on the flat area of the Mojo or is it on it’s own stand?

In your description, you say you are comparing the digital Wurli sounds to a real Rhodes, but the keyboard you are playing on the left sounds like a Wurli, and says Wurlitzer on it <;) I like using Wurli for the type of playing you are doing here, good stuff!

Have you compared the noise level of the Mojo and Nord? I have a GSI Gemini which is more less same as the Crumar. I have a feeling that the noise level is little bit higher than normal. I had no possibility to direct comparison only to Sub37 and it is way more silent (including 2-3 effect pedals).

They sound very close to the real thing

Awesome. In a mix with the average non musician music fan listening (99.9% of the public) no one could tell or would care.👍
