Excellent as always, thank you.
Being a plus size and under 5'2" and a senior 😮
No No Wow, a lot of run, run, run away 😊
The terrible tailoring/dressmaking, that wouldn't have passed my high school sewing class doesn't help.
Hey!!! Designers, I have money, give me something to spend it on. 🎉

“If it’s not a Wow, it’s a Non!” Best advice for clothes, desserts and men! ☺️

As a dressmaker, I can tell you that any garment, that is well made and fitted and structured well, esp with natural fabrics, and holds its own shape or defines a shape, will always look classy. Darts in the wrong place, ones that are at wrong angles, not balancing body disproportions or enhancing natural assets of your figure will always work against you. I loved all your suggestions. Lovely

Thank you for showing plus size models wearing dresses. Most catalogs show models wearing misses sizes, no help for an apple shape. Thanks again.

I think clothing designers and manufacturers go out of their way to make older and larger women look terrible; horizontal stripes, big, baggy clothing, bright, garish colors, too tight, etc. Thank you for providing some nice, easy tips to help us say "non" to horrible styles!

No matter how much or little I weigh, I’m still an apple, with a big bust. My legs are long and slim, again no matter my weight.
All the weight gain shows up in my belly.
These dresses look great for summer. I love wrap style and shirtwaist. Great tips. Thank you!

I am plus size but i have relatively small bust. I have a large gut and hips. Wrap dresses are so easy to adapt. Ruching is not flattering to anyone, no matter how skinny. Shapeless tents are not flattering to most people. Tailored clothes always look good. I make my own clothes and fit them to cover the lumps and bumps.

Really great tips Marie!! I have been a plus-size lady for more than 50 years and, as the expression goes, the struggle is real. I am lucky in that my mother (also a plus-size lady) always had a good eye for what looks good on her and I inherited that trait. I have always HATED high necklines (because I have a very short neck) and so I've always avoided them. Tailoring is also incredibly important, as you point out. One of my personal tips is in addition to having a good tailor, if you have a great eye for outfits, find a good seamstress who can make you an outfit you like, that actually fits you. I have had several outfits made and I love them because though they are based on existing items, they have my own unique flair.

Thank you for taking the time to including us plus sizes in your videos. We are generally ignored. You have so much class and style that you have a lot of credibility in my eyes. Your style of dress is fantastic.

lol... the busy striped, blocked dress number three... I guess the Dazzle Ship theory doesn't work for wayward figures lol... unless we are out to sea perhaps.

Such good advice as always Marie-Anne. Properly fitting under garments are so important for all body shapes. X

I work in a national retail chain for plus sized women.
It’s unbelievable how many pieces come in with horizontal stripes.
Many garments are not suited for our larger shapes.
Who the hell is designing this & why aren’t there more appropriate choices? Would love to know…

I’m a normal/slender weight, but I know I can benefit from all your great ideas, dear MarieAnne! ❤

Merci! Yes, it is so difficult to find flattering dresses, especially in natural fibers.

I think part of the problem is that many people think if it comes in their size then they should wear it

Another huge thing is most manufacturers just take a dress that's perfect in a 6 and make the dress a 22 without making the pockets proportional, buttons bigger, etc. clothes that are actually designed for a size 22 look so much better than a size 6 made bigger.

There's my thoughts.

That's a beautiful waistcoat and love your long necklace pendant, it looks lovely over your turtleneck sweater, Marie-Anne. You look so chic. Merci ❤

Honestly, Marie Anne, most of these tips are equally beneficial for petite women with curves, regardless of their size/weight. Merci bien. :)

If one keeps it simple, it's more flattering. Plus it will be in style for a long time. I really liked the thin vertical dress. The eyes go up to the person's neck and face.
