I am not petite myself Marie-Anne but I have to admit I really like those dresses for the petite ladies, and I feel I could easily wear these myself, I particularly love the navy and white polka dot one as I could be really casual with it or jazz it up for an evening with the addition of some jewellery. Thank you Marie-Anne for all your tips.

I am a nerd who always considered style to be a trivial matter, so I never learned how to make good choices. But now that I’m in my 40s, I’m becoming more conscious of how my style determines how I carry myself and how other people view me — and how that impacts me as a professional. I appreciate how you explain what makes different choices flattering or unflattering so that I can judge things for myself rather than just relying on outfits selected by other people.

Thanks so much for the petite suggestions. As a lifelong 5’3” woman, I always rely on the kinds of cuts you’ve recommended despite sometimes wanting to wear something unflattering because it’s trendy and new.

I love the ruched dress, particularly the detailing at the hip, which would be really flattering for us inverted triangles.

I had a VERY brief subscription to a particular "clothes in a box" service, and I am petite. The subscription service was supposed to tailor the box to a woman over 60, short, who hated ripped jeans with a passion. The only thing the service got correct was a lovely pair of Judy Blues, and a perfectly proportioned cardigan. Everything else- BAH! One of the most horrible was a black maxi dress with bright orange and pink lillies, made out of polyester double-knit from the 1970s. I could have made a tent out of it, it was so heavy and long! I tried three times, and every time, I sent back most of the box- the last box, EVERYTHING went back.

I go shopping on my own, now. I remember the "petite rules" from my younger days that you so wonderfully illustrated here. MERCI! ❤

Thank you for sharing this video. I am a petit woman. My favourite dresses were the polka dots, lilac and yellow 🙂

Thank you for this! Those sheath dresses are beautiful, and the one with the ruching at the side was stunning. Great video for us petite women! Please do a video highlighting dos and don'ts for petites and pants/jeans/jackets. I feel I'm just too small to wear a blazer.

Thank you; so useful. I love the blue polka-dot shirt dress. I find it hard to get trousers the right length. Marks and Spencer’s short sizing used to be perfect for my 5ft 3” height, but recently they’ve made them two inches longer 😢 . I can shorten the hems but they never look as good afterwards. I love watching your videos and I love your sense of humour as well as super tips. 👏

Wonderful video with great styling advice, Marie-Anne. Even when I'm not petite myself I loved all your tips and suggested dresses, my favourite is the navy blue polka dot, it's so cute. Petite ladies can look so chic in them. Love your hair. Merci 🙏🏻⚘

Such good lessons. So easy to get caught up in all the things. I like the polka dot dress and also the style suggested for plus size. Polka dots, always a lean look and a favorite.

Dear Marie-Ann, I'm a petite woman wearing a middle size, German 42-44, and I agree with you from the boddem of my heart. NO big prints, horizontal stripes, over whelming styled dresses, big sleeves etc. but I'm a Winter typ and wear intens colours, black and white, soft colours are not mine, even that I'm 70 and my hair is salt and pepper now. By the way thank you very much for your French styl tips, this year we go for three weeks in vacation near Fontainebleau. I promise I will take care to follow your advise for French chick ladies. I started to practise the French what I learned at school and was surprised to find out that I haven't forgotten that much as I expected and what is still "there". Many greetings from Germany near Berlin ❤

Ooh, I really like that yellow sheath. The one after the pink frou frou one. BTW, I have a red dress in a classic wrap style and it is a knockout. It doesn't overwhelm me at all and it is cherry red. Anyone can wear a solid bright color that is in their pallette. You just have to have the confidence to "strut your stuff" in it.

Love your recommendations for petite ladies. I am petite and love shirt dresses (have several) and several sheathes. Have always worn my skirts either right above or bellow the knee. Love your hairstyle and makeup by the way.

Sadly, this video points out the main problem I've found to look chic. I have absolutely no problem looking chic at work in elegant sheath dresses, but when I try to dress casually, I struggle. I wish more of the chic choices shown were more casual in style

Thanks for the petite suggestions. I have no need to wear the lovely dresses that you presented, but I would love to see pants, tops, blazers and button-up shirt styling for petites in the French chic way.
