The usual format for the formula is 1/2(a + b)h, but this method is nice and clear.

Can we just separate the trapezium to 3 different pieces (2 triangle and a rectangle) and then find the sum of all of them?

I tried but it's not the case!

Would you be able to do a video on how to tackle the last few questions in higher aqa maths gcses? I always lose marks on them even tho I know the content. Tysmmm
