Area of a Trapezium

The area of a trapezium is half of the sum of its parallel sides times height. But how did we arrive at this formula?

We discover two different ways of finding the area of a trapezium by breaking it into rectangles and triangles.

You can find the area of that trapezium if you continue the bottom and the top and making a line parallel to the 3rd side and it will make a triangle with the same area if you make a diagonal

Can you tell me a formula for area of a quadrilateral that can apply to all quadrilaterals

Here I know
It is 1/2(d1•d2)
Here d1 and D2 are the distances between both of there opposite vertex that are diagonals can you prove it

YES, we can divide the trapezium shown in last of the video .🟰BY simply dividing one side of the trapezium and the adding it to another side of the trapezium and we will get an RECTANGLE .
Final step.. to use the formula and we will get our answer 😊
