1) You do NOT have to complete the BOS questline to turn them in. 2) In fact you don't even need to have access to in inside of Fort Atlas because you can also turn them in at Camp Venture also. 3) Never turn these in unless it's a double or even triple XP weekend. These things give you stupid insane XP and it's worth waiting. 4) Drop them on the floor next to either Scribe Valdez or the Safe and you can just stand there picking them up and turning them in one at a time without running around to your stash box. 5) on xbox all the rewards are good little cap makers in your vendor so don't sell anything to vendor bots, players especially love bomber jackets.

Inside of any interior that has the bright blue/orange storage containers such as West tek and the Robco facility have a decent chance of dropping them as well due to my experience. Learned something today after playing roughly 1000 hours of the game. Thanks!

Every Desk, and blue and orange file cabinet has a chance. So when you run WestTek and go down stairs, there is a room of those right off the elevator.
I usually end my WT runs by grabbing a Tech Data and Fast Travelling to BOS.

Haven Church in the Mire has Technical Data in the downstairs trunk. Bonus: You can also find a magazine spawn, a bobblehead spawn, AND kill an Owlet which tastes delicious!

Westek also has a lot of technical data there’s file cabinet all over especially on the arm. You know after you ride the elevator down usually come out of there one anywhere from one to 304 pieces of technical data from those file cabinets.

I had no idea there was a double xp for these at any time... I'll be sure to start saving them, I just turn them in usually asap the clear the quest. 😳

Can’t you also turn them in at Camp Venture if you haven’t done the BOS storyline? I know it’s harder because there isn’t a stash box close by.

No offense Frank, but there’s just way easier ways to get experience. Been running in 11 technical data turning it in been running back all the way to your time to get another one to run and Irene nurse, lotteries your ways to text Brian down experience if there is your goal

Bethesda must have nerfed the rng of tech data at some point over the last year. I used to find it constantly, and now I hardly ever find it no matter how many safes or circular filing cabinets I open.
