Fallout 76 - How to wash technical data - make unusable technical data usable again

Today I will be showcasing how you can make technical data usable again. If you have collected technical data in the past you can sometimes not turn it in. When this happens you will see two stacks of data. Today I will be showing you how to turn your data in to usable stacks.

Easier method, just server hop with all Tech Data in inventory (unusable and not over 100-200) it will auto wash it. That’s how I’ve done it since the quest became repeatable. Worked every time.

Edit: you also need 1 or a few useable in inventory also

just be careful and dont have more than one technical data in your inventory when you go to click on the slot in the wall. I lost over 200 technical data in one click!!! WHOOPS!!!

Something similar happened with 'sugar bombs' being unusable in recipes.

Can't get either method to work. Unusable data never gets washed. However, I have found another work-around. Place usable data in one drawer and unusable in another. Pick up 1 usable data to start the quest and then put it back. Then pick up an unusable data and turn in the quest. You should get all rewards. Then rinse and repeat. Longest part of this is sorting out the technical data because all the technical data, usable and unusable, is grouped. They are not separated, for me atheist. Hope this helps

Now I see this was uploaded a month ago, bethesda did block this quest for being accessed but have not seen any updates yet. Are you able to turn them in as of today?

I can't get the forbidden knowledge quest to start when I pick up the data pls help

Hey pSR I know you been helping a lot, and I really appreciate it. But I have another problem. The forbidden knowledge doesn’t trigger for me anymore, when I pick up a new trigger data. I tried yesterday and tried now again, it just didn’t trigger the quest. Do you know any workaround ? Thanks in advance

I have got a glitch that wont let the quest start no matter how many technical data i pick up. Does anyone have a fix for this? It would really suck to not be able to get the t-60 bos paints. 🙁
