The first story about the King Air brought to mind a near crash my brother had. He was a bush pilot in Alaska and owned an air taxi service. While taking off at Anchorage in his King Air, ATC gave him the wrong coordinates and he was caught in a jet wake. The wake caused his plane to get sucked into it and he flew into the top of the cabin . He sustained a head injury but miraculously landed the plane. The top of the plane was rumpled. Needless to say, he was compensated.

The first crash had been presumed to be a result of an in-flight fire, and the second, an uncontained turbine engine failure. But an extensive investigation eventually determined that the cause of both crashes was the in-flight break up of the fuselage pressure hull

26:23 we all know the pilot crashed the plane on purpose, but with FDR and CVR disabled, the evidence was lacking resulting in the other team blaming mechanical failure

The Pan-Am/KLM crash on Tenerife infuriates me so much, the KLM Pilot having such rushed time that he decided to take off without clearance is appalling and he deserves almost all the blame alone, (the final part of the blame goes to KLM for having the rules which motivated the Pilot’s actions)

Watching your plane crashing in real time on a monitor must have made the situation even more horrifying. There were no more monitors on planes after this. May the poor victims of this and all the crashes rest in peace.💔

I hope their families find joy in knowing how viewers like us totally enjoy these disaster movies. I wish they listed all the actors in the credits so we could know the names of these brave actors.
