Great fix for those drums that have the older version faulty version of the MC lug. Thanks for the brilliant video. All Yamaha drums with MC lugs made pre November 1994 have the older faulty version. That includes those 1. gen maple Weckl snares and the aluminum Weckl snares made pre that date. However both versions got the update so both version of those drums are out there.

Jim, the nodal point do well is on top on the later lug and underside on the lug older lug. Interesting change in design. Great video Jim on this very unique drum. 👍🏻

Fantastico! Il nodal point è il punto dove il fusto shell risuona meno e inserendo lì la vite, si riesce a far risuonare comunque al massimo the shell drums

It’s the YDLS (Yamaha Dysfunctional Lug syndrome) Yamaha updated those snares in Late Summer of 94. They also had this issue on the Aluminium version too. The updated lug had the locator pin switch to the top instead of bottom ;)
