not only did I love the bluntness of the expert you brought in but your willingness to show your weaknesses. As professors of golf, that ability to show you still don't know everything makes me want to watch more videos. They say that those that can't do, teach, but you can do AND you teach, but we can all get better, so thanks for being vulnerable for us.

What a clip! I've been a subscriber for a long time, but that was the best one yet. To have a highly esteemed expert telling us how it is, bluntly and honest, while bringing that kind of experience was a good watch. More like this please! 👌

Probably the best putting lesson I've seen, live or on YouTube. Great stuff.

I've always thought that your video with Rory driving the ball from a few years back was your best video. This one just took the crown for me. This process is so simple, but 100% effective at determining what is actually going wrong in your putting. If you can't roll the ball through the gate, you instantly know what to work on. If you can roll the ball through the gate, is it a read or alignment issue? For you, it was a bit of both. The stroke is pure but the target and aim needed work.

I've been wanting to buy one of Derek's plates for a while, but didn't see why I needed one over my SKLZ mirror aside from the portability of the form factor. This video sold me. I have a feeling this video will sell a lot of plates.

I have never seen any putting explanation more clear than this. Fantastic.

This is one of the most all-time helpful golf videos on ANY phase of the game. Period.

Head tilt (we all have some) can drastically change the way we perceive the horizon. If your head is tilted slightly to the left it will tilt your perception of the horizon so that the left side seems slightly higher than the right, and visa-versa. If Piers tilts his head slightly to the right when reading the green this would negate the real slope and make it appear level (horizontal) to him. It would have been interesting to do the same test at the same hole but from the opposite side. The Putting Plate looks like a good bit of kit 👍

One of the best instructional videos I’ve ever seen for anything. I’m going to try this and see what happens. What fantastic insight. Thank you.

I don't have as much trouble as I used to when I'm putting because I've been through the Piers and Andy Me and My Golf Complete Putting Coaching Plan as a Member. The drills helped me enormously hole more putts. I still practice 10-15 minutes before I go out and play 9 or 18 holes and I practice regularly on a putting green as well as at home. I hope I'll be able to afford the new putting mat if I don't win the competition. A great video though! Good luck with your putting Piers.

Like 99% of golfers, I struggled with aiming my putter correctly. I've used this Coach's aim plates and couldn't transfer the feel from the practice green to the course UNTIL I used the plate in conjunction with an elevated laser line. The laser line enabled me to visualize the start line. My putting has improved dramatically

we spend so much tiem with ball striking that it leaves little with the most important part of our game putting. we give more strokes away on or around the green than any other part of our game. This video has won the internet of the year. so simple yet breaks down many barriers from the head to the club

If Piers misread it that much, I can`t imagine what I would`ve done. I hope Piers and Andy are getting settled in well as it`s not an easy thing to leave your country. All the best!

Of all the great videos you guys have made, this one is possibly the best. Thanks to Pierce for getting beat up for the benefit of all golfers trying to be better putters! Cheers

This is a brilliant drill! Definitely going to try and find time for this one! I’m exactly the same. Can line it up and then stand over it and it’s nowhere near or “looks” nowhere near! Great video gents! 🤙🏻

I used to use Aimpoint, but got away from it. Have been using mostly my eyes to read greens and while my mechanics and speed are pretty good, my reads have been poor. Can't wait to get out and try this!!

I had a terrible time reading greens until I switched from sunglasses with the normal grey lenses to ones with brown lenses. It is unbelievable how much better that has made my green reading. I can now see the slopes and undulations much better.

Amazing content here! This happened to be the video I watched from this account. I had to pause in the first 3 minutes to subscribe and look up the putting plates website. Will for sure be picking up a putting plate. Brilliant tool. Great video.

I had the same problem years ago and I was truly a horrendous putter. I mean bad! My eyes and stroke were totally disjointed. I figured this out on my own by buying a 36” metal ruler at Lowe’s and forced myself to learn how to putt down the line while forcing my eyes to look back and forth at the center spot at the far end of the ruler to re-teach my eyes to marry-up the actual line with my putting stroke. When I began, I couldn’t hit a ball down the ruler missing 10 of 10. Now, I can roll 10 of 10 down the ruler occasionally missing one off the edge. I also purchased a putting plate to force the same on the practice green. It took about three seasons and weekly work and putting down the ruler throughout the winter months. I now hit on the line I see and I’m considered an excellent putter at my club.

I’m so excited for this video. I do that lineup thing. My husband just pointed it out to me today and how bad I actually do that.
