Oh my GOD!!! This is Brysons CHEAT method to putting and I can't quite believe how affective and simple this is?! I wish I knew this sooner to be honest! I love BRYSON DECHAMBEAU'S Putting Technique!

This could seriously be the answer to how to putt like a tour pro, it's all about lining your golf ball up and no, it's not the way you usually see. Bryson has said this is the secret to him becoming one of the best putters in the world, he said when you get within 5ft it could make a REAL difference. Bryson said that this can be used by ANY level of golfers, mid-handicap, high handicap or low handicap. i highly suggest you watch this whole video all the way to the end to gain the most out of this video!!

I have watched your video and Bryson’s video and I still have no clue on how to find the correct dimples to draw my line on.

Now this is truly useful info that makes a difference.

I saw a video where they tell you to do the same but on your tee shot. Find the two dimples, mark and tee it up.

🤠 is there any scientific studies that have been done on hitting the dimple off centred from different distances the variation?

He's really good at talking and avoiding getting to the point.

It's just too much being looked into. Chad, method putting is really about having the face perfectly square to where you are on a straight putt and also comes down to reading the break correctly for a breaking putt. Jack Nicklaus didn't have any problems hitting the side of a dimple

I think this was explained in Dave Pelz Putting Bible ten years ago. worth repeating

I will try this. I have nothing to lose. I understand the theory, and it does not seem crazy to me. If nothing else, it just might make me line up my putts more carefully, make me more deliberate, which could make more of a difference?

I’ll give it a try.

My guess?! Keeps your focus downward a hair longer.

Another brilliant tip, we'll be adopting this (i caddy for my spouse) -- thank you, Alex/Bryson!

Yea it might make it roll better but you have to be so dialled with everything else in putting ie line, swing arc, centre contact etc to make a difference

I can’t even hit midddle of putter face, now I’m suppose to hit middle of a dimple???

Exact centre of ball and putter face with a square face. Very good and consistent. I don't need alignment marks.

I've tried this and it really doesn't make a huge difference since most people aren't putting with a perfectly square face angle. A more scientific approach is to take a dozen balls (6 with the dot technique and 6 using their alignment line) and putt on a flat green from 5, 10 and 15 feet to see what (if any at all) the variance is between the 2 groups of balls. Most people are going to miss due to face angle (open or closed a fraction of a degree), reading the break incorrectly and/or bad distance control.

I have a tee time in 16 hours. I'm going to try it, but considering my skill level, I doubt it's going to help me too much. I'm only 6 weeks in to playing and I'm lucky to hit the Fairway off the tee box any more than 40% of the time. Irons usually go straight, but I duff or top them more than I make a nice strike.

Then again, my putting isn't bad. Last round, I lipped every other hole from 5ft to 30ft putts. It's infuriating.

IMO, a rubberized insert in the face of the putter would negate any irregularities in the alignment of the dimple edge.
